Here’s to Pride

In June’s embrace, the rainbow flies,

A banner high against the skies,

With colors bold, it tells a tale,

Of love and hope that shall prevail.

From Stonewall’s flames, a spark was born,

In hearts of those who felt forlorn,

Their voices raised, a fearless song,

Demanding rights, correcting wrong.

We honor those who paved the way,

Their courage bright as break of day,

For in their fight, our strength is found,

A unity, a common ground.

Each shade a story, each hue a voice,

In love’s vast spectrum, we rejoice,

No longer hidden, shadows gone,

We march with pride from dusk till dawn.

In every heart, a brilliant light,

Defying hate, embracing right,

For love is love, and truth will shine,

Through every storm, a boundless line.

So here’s to Pride, a month to be,

A beacon of equality,

With every step, we boldly stand,

For justice, freedom, hand in hand
