and advocacy for over 500 members across Kenya.

MWA leadership comprises the Governance Board, Staff, and Membership Leadership, each playing crucial roles in advancing our mission and ensuring MWA is committed to its vision of a just and inclusive society for all LGBTI individuals.

Caroline Omolo

Programs. MWA

Caroline Omolo is a passionate womanist, activist, dedicated to advancing gender equality and social justice. Based primarily in Nairobi, actively engaging with MWA chapters focal persons to strategize and implement impactful programs and activities.

Peace Loise

Communications, MWA

Peace Loise is a Kenyan activist and Communications Expert with over 7 years of experience in Communication, Media, PR, and Social Media Management. Passionate about advocacy through feminist principles, she leverages her expertise to create engaging content that sparks conversations around gender, sexuality, religion, politics, and relationships.

MWA BOARD

MWAs Board positions are held by lesbian, queer and non-binary individual who play a pivotal role in steering MWA toward our goal of freedom, autonomy and dignity for LGBTI folk, they ensure responsible governance, and support community centric initiatives aimed at empowering and advocating for queer communities in Kenya as well as initiatives nurturing grassroots organizing and leadership among queer women.

The MWA Board has executive functions as Board Chairperson, Program Impact Evaluation, financial oversight, Organizational Culture and HR Specialist, and Partnership Development Strategist.

Oversees MWA culture and HR and contributes to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment within MWA through shaping policies related to human resources, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Partnerships Impact

Works to establish and strengthen MWA relationships with allied organisations necessary for collaboration, resource sharing as well as with donor partners to who support our work around promoting policies that support sexual and gender rights, and challenging coercive practices, violence, and discrimination against the LGBTI community.
